I DIDN'T READ FOR EXAMS IN CAMPUS

Campus! Some will say 'comrade' life is the best while others will claim campus life is the hardest and the worst.Well let me give you my side of the story since my case was bittersweet.

When it dawned on me that I had gotten the opportunity to join one of the most prestigious universities in the country, everything in my life went helter skelter. After acquiring my admission letter, and finalisimg my admission process, I was ready to go.Here I was a young bubly soul full of energy ready to set sail and try out all the campus adventures.photo courtesy of Facebook

"Huku hua tuna soma wakati wa mtihani pekee" This words which I heard from I don't know who completely diverted my energy. Sincerely speaking where was the need to study hard when I can study for one day/hours and still paass my exams?

Within no time I already found myself in a gang. The gang was not all about terrorizing the area but enjoying campus life.It was our vow to atleast drink in all pubs within the city and the neighbouring city.Mark you we were just a bunch of 10 freshmen who had never tasted alcohol but trust me that was not going to stop us.our first night we went to club lambada only God knows how I got back home because according to my friend's side of the story,I took a full mzinga of General meakins and started fighting with the bouncers. No wonder I woke up with a black eye.Well I'm yet to remember anything from that day but If I do i will tell my side of the story.

As days turned into months we had already toured the whole city and done massive road trips to the neighbouring towns.Life was amazing I was "eating life with a big spoon". Along the way,we made both friends and enemies relationships couldn't be ignored si unajua huezi kataza moyo kupenda.

All my freshman year i never sat down to read even a single line whether we had exams or not.I vividly recall during my exams we reversed roles with the exams supervisor. The supervised would supervise the supervisee yes you heard it right I would supervise my exam supervisor during exams and with one wrong move he would make I would copy the whole exams. A "legend" like me didn't require the whole day only 5seconds and that would be it.

Things however changed when my fundings were cut short. This was when I was 2 years to completion of my course.someone had  snitched me to my dad and he had cut short my funds. However this blow had to be improvised I had to either look for other means to get money or change my spending habits.well to cut the long story short I left my gang and the only way I could was to hide in the library.
My exile days in the library were fun, at first I would sit there and pass time staring at people but as I matured I started atleast reading one book per "exile session". This changed my grades as It developed into a culture. Nowadays any free time I get I spend it in the library.Infact the librarian is a great friend of mine and gave me a spare of the library keys. During the exams I don't supervise anyone. My previous exam results were straight A's.

I also met new friends who introduced me to the christian Union and I can confirm me and drugs we are done.

All I came to learn is that campus is all about planning oneself and having the right friends. This is among the first things that i would like to pass down to any freshman and just like me they will succeed.
